Yeah for valentines day

Well for Valentines Day we spent the majority of the evening at the good old urgent care.... all three of us were sick but I was the worst. I knew it was more than a cold so I thought I better go in seeing how monday is a holiday. well two hours later and a postive strep test i was on my way to the pharmacy. Ry and Maddie left to get some dinner while i went to smiths. when I got home ry had the table set with Olive Garden. yummy my favorite. So the night ended better because we got drugs and Minestroni soup my favorite. thanks babe!

enjoying some sunshine! Its about time!

Maddie has been dying to go out and swing. she could swing all day long. she will even pull my step stool over to the window and say "swing momma... come on" its been way too cold and i hate tromping through the snow. so yesterday we went out side and the snow is almost gone.. thanks to the rain and it was so nice out. the sun felt so good. while maddie was in the swing she almost was falling asleep it was just so nice to feel some warm rays of sunshine. she thought the yard could use a mow too. i can't wait for spring.

Vegas!

I just got back last night from Vegas. it was so much fun. i went with some girls from my salon and my boss. we went to the Redken Symposium. i loved it so much. it was packed with awesome classes and shopping and food. it was way hard to be a way from maddie but i managed and had great help while i was gone. The hair show was way fun. Natasha bedingfeild was the entertainment one night and she was pretty good. i was the most excited about having one of my classes taught by most favorite educator ever David Stanko! he is amazing. pretty for sure i would have went to see just him! well i am ready to get back in the salon and have some fun with everything i learned!

Riding with grandpa

opening lots and lots of presents
My cute mom!
our family band (guitar hero)
Our yummy fondue dinner!
Ry getting his face pushed into his breakfast!

Maddie loves to play in the little ball pit!
its crazy how much time goes into preparing things for christmas and then how fast it is over. we had a very nice christmas this year. we spent our christmas eve with ryans family. they have such a fun and good tradition, i always look forward to it. we have a very yummy fondue dinner with all sorts of stuff to cook and my favorite cheese fondue. and then we have a little christmas program which this year we let maddie and jace help put the pictures on the board, so our christmas story was all over the place. it was really cute. then we opened some presents and then we sing around the piano. later on we played some guitar hero. This year was really nice because Ryan's grandparents and his aunt were able to come and spend the night with us. then we get some sleep to wake up to a very yummy breakfast of german pancakes and fruit and then it is off to opening more presents. We then traveled up to heber in the nasty snow storm but we arrived just fine. we had a lot of fun opening presents and then we munched and visited and maddie went for a spin around the neighborhood with my dad on his 4wheeler. then we had a good dinner and played some games. it was full of lots of laughs and a really fun day. maddie was exhausted by the end she was totally worn out from all the many presents that she received. until next year....

18 months already..

well i took maddie in for her 18 mon. checkup. its crazy how fast they grow and change. her stats aren't much different other than she is a little taller:
Weight: 20lbs 5 oz
height: 31.5inches
but they said she is doing great. i can't believe how fast kids learn to talk. its like everyday she adds a new word or two to her vocabulary. well i hope everyone has a merry christmas!

tis the season of frustrations

k so with all the hustle and bustle of christmas i have been experiencing a few minor frustrations.
1. we went to use our video camera the other night and the battery was dead so i looked everywhere for the charger. i think it got lost in our move, well its probably just hiding somewhere really dumb. anyways so on Saturday i called and ordered another one. the cord was like 30 bucks no big deal but then they wanted 18 more just to get it here for Christmas. so i thought OK that's fine. then today i went and checked on my order status and the lady didn't put the order through its on hold. so i called back and this new lady said i could ship it for about 30 dollars but she couldn't guarantee it to be here by christmas. so needless to say i will be borrowing my in laws camera so i can copy whatever they record! sad! but I'm not paying that for a cord that might not be here by christmas. wow that was good venting! sorry!

2. i'm still not done christmas shopping and the snow is making me want to stay in my warm house... so hopefully it gets done otherwise sorry to those who don't receive presents.

3. actually those are it for frustrations but that first one was pretty big.

Holiday fun

well thanksgiving has come and gone... i can't believe it. we had a nice time we went to logan to visit ryan's family and then went to heber for the big meal. we then had fun watching my mom find her inner rockstar while she jammed out to guitar hero. then we played some cards and called it a night. i didn't do any shopping this year the ads just weren't anything i needed to get out of bed for. saturday we went and picked out our christmas tree. we got a real one this year. i'm not use to real ones so i can't forget to water it or we may have a dead tree by christmas. last night for fhe we decorated a ginger bread house and finished decorating the tree. maddie only wanted to eat the candy not use it as decorations... it was funny. we also had fun teaching maddie who santa clause is and what he says, so now she says ho ho ho. it was great to start off the holiday season. i hope you all are doing well and have a good holiday season!!
