a little sleepy....

sunday morning i was finishing getting our pirimary lesson together and ryan was getting ready for church. so we put maddie in her high chair for snack time. i could hear her talking and talking and then a couple of minutes later it was silent. i thought that was odd so i went into the room and ryan was quietly laughing. She was out cold.... i guess she wanted her nap earlier than usual.. it was so cute. ryan said that her head would bob down and she then would realize she was falling asleep so she would put her head back up and try to stay awake. she even had a half eaten cheerio on her nose and some still in her hand.

MOAB

We just returned from our yearly jeeping trip to Moab. It was so much fun.My mom was really not liking the idea of having Maddie in the jeep while we went on trails.. Sorry mom..but we were good and only took her on mild stuff. Ryan, me, and my two brother in-laws decided to be adventurous and go on Hell's Revenge. It was pretty intense but not as bad as I thought it would be. Everything turned out good... no fatalities!

Ry and Maddie had some fun climbing the rocks.We also went on a really nice hike up to a really pretty arch with some nice sand dunes. Maddie and her cousin Jace had a lot of fun playing in the sand. The weather was great. I wouldn't have minded if it would have been a little bit warmer but really it was just nice to see the sunshine. All in all it was really nice to get away!

what a weekend

well what a busy weekend. maddie and i decided to go and stay at my moms house in heber friday night so we could have a girls night. then saturday morning something so sad happened. we had to put candy dog down. it was so hard but really the right time. candy is my family dog that we have had for about 8 years. so it was really hard... anyway moving on then on sunday we went and spent confrence with ryans wonderful family up in logan. we had lunch with grandpa and grandma sorenson and aunt sue which was great. everyone was excited to see maddie because we don't make it up there often. then after that we went to the zurchers. maddie was having quite fun crawling all over the place trying to get into everything. grandpa hans and grandma hanna just loved her. it was way fun but i was way ready for the weekend to be over. so when monday rolled around i was ready for a break in the action.

we love bath time

so i am so glad that maddie loves her bath time. it is so much fun to see her splash and play with her toys. its the perfect ending to our busy days. i love baths so i would be sad if she wasn't a water fan. we will see how she likes swim pools this summer. hopefully it will be good too!

a bad mom moment

so yesterday was maddie's 9 month check up. so we went in did the regular routine nothing abnormal going on. they take her weight, length you know the works. so then the dr. came in and we were talking and he asked me if i had any concerns and i said not that i know of. then he pulled out some papers and informed me that she is not gaining weight in fact she weighs less now then she did at 6 months. i kind of was freaking out inside and so i asked what percentile she was in and he told me she wasn't on the charts. so i totally feel like i have been starving my baby even though all she does is eat. so no big deal he told me we are just going to load her up on calories. so she is eating cream cheese on her snacks, pudding, string cheese you know all the good stuff. hopefully it works. talk about a bad mom moment. i' m still feeling the guilt.
