we got a new puppy...

just kidding... we are puppy sitting for our friends while they go to vegas. i just had to put some pictures on to shop how cute she is. she is 7 weeks old and teeny tiny. our dog keeta who also is a min. pinn is learning how to get along with her. she was not a fan at first but is getting better. maddie is quite in love and learning how to be "soft". she really likes the little puppy kisses. but we have her until wed. and we are having fun.

look who's one

well Wednesday was the big day for Maddie. that morning she woke up and decided that because she was one now that she was capable of walking.... finally..she has been so close for over two months. then we went to the mall and met grandma hatch and auntie Brooke for our first build a bear experience. she wasn't too excited until she got to push her bear in her cute little stroller Brooke bought her. then we went to cpk for lunch it was pretty exciting. later that night when Ry got home from work we met up with his parents and brother at ihop for pancakes...Maddie's favorite. it was a good day. Saturday night was her birthday party. it was fun. we had family and friends meet us at the park for dinner and cake. Maddie got lots of awesome presents. she was mad when we tried to get her to eat her cake, and then she smeared it in her hair and eyes. we thought she may have dyed her hair from the red frosting but luckily that night in the tub it washed out. thanks so much for all the wonderful gifts and thanks for sharing the fun night with us! and thanks to everyone that helped...especially Brooke for holding down the fort in the hot sun!

Little Miss Americana

So today for Strawberry Days in PG I decided it would be fun to enter Maddie into the baby contest. She was dressed up in Americana red white and blue. It was so cute and fun. She was in the 10-18 month category and she won. By the time they handed out awards she wasn't very happy because she had missed her morning nap.. and it was HOT! but when she got her trophy she was all smiles, she thought she had a new toy to chew on. The down side to her winning is that we have to be in the parade on Saturday. So watch for us if you will be there.

my dad with maddie when she was about a week old. he just loves and adores her and is such a good grandpa!

I love father's day and the time that it brings families together. it is a time for me to recogonize what amazing and special guys are in my life . my dad has always been such an example to me. he is one of the most amazing people i know. i am so thankful for our great relationship and our love that we have. my great husband is my other favorite father. i have never seen someone love a child like ryan loves his little girl. maddie is his world. there has never been a moment that he hasn't been there a 100% to help. he is so loving and just makes me and maddie's lives so much better. i don't know what i would do with out ryan or my dad. thank you ! i love you! happy father's day.

Ryan was Peter Pan for Halloween with his little Tinker Bell. He is not going to be happy knowing I shared this picture with every one. The next one is him and Maddie at the ocean for her first time. Then of course Ry in the Operating room after the C-section was all done! I think that was probably his best day ever... holding his little girl.

Happy Anniversary

yesterday was our 3rd anniversary. on saturday we went to the melting pot for dinner which was fun cause i love fondue, then ryan surprised me with an over night stay at the anniversary inn. it was so much fun and nice to relax, and grandma sorenson got to have her first overnighter with maddie. it was perfect. thanks honey!!
