thursday evening we met my mom and sister up in salt lake for the state fair. it was way fun. we walked through all the animals and maddie was alot more hesitant this year about touching them. she loved the pigs and the goats. then she went for a pony ride. we didnt walk around with her like we normally do and she thought she was so big. she had the cutest little smirk on her face like look at me. we ate some dinner and walked through the booths and then headed home. i love that maddie is getting older and totally into everything. kids make everything so much more fun!

well it has been a really busy time which means lots of fun. July came and went so by its crazy. towards the end of the month we went up to Washington state to visit my family. Maddie loved the airplane ride and i was so thankful we weren't driving. 6months prego and a 14 hour drive? no thanks. we had a great time while we were there. Maddie loved picking fresh berries every morning from my grandma's garden and she probably ate her weight in them too. we went to the Oregon zoo which was way fun. they had a cute baby elephant and an awesome train ride which was probably Maddie's favorite part. we also went to the coast. it was amazing weather. we played in the sand forever. my mom Ryan and Maddie played in the water but it was way too cold for me. Maddie had to of course ride the merry go round.. it was hard to get her off. she road it like 3 times. one day my grandma took me for a nice relaxing morning and we went and got amazing pedicures. my toes needed it so bad. it was awesome. my mom came for half off the week which was great. we met up with some friends and let Maddie have some play time. she had such a good time rolling around in the grass with Lincoln. it was way cute. it was just great to get away and spend some family time! now we are on our way trying to get things ready for baby sister to come. we officially have Maddie's room together with no more crib. she did really good with the transition. yeah. now we just need to get babies room together.. i did order new bedding which i am very excited for. so as for us that's about all the excitement for now! sorry lots of pictures!

busy busy day

thursday was maddies 2nd birthday. we satrted off the day by going up to st. marks with our moms to find out what the new baby is. and we r excited that we r having another little girl. after the ultrasound we went to gateway mall so maddie could go to build a bear. she decided to make a monkey... it was so cute. we then went to california pizza kitchen for lunch. on our way back to the car we passed the fountains... maddie couldnt resist. so ry took her and boy oh boy did she get soaked. it was so cute to watch. later that night we had a birthday party with all of our friends and family. it was so fun and she got lots of fun toys. by the end of the day she was so exhausted ...... we have also been having a lot of fun swimming maddie is loving it.

..almost two!

here are a few pictures from today, i had my friend cassey take pics of maddie for her 2nd bday. we had so much fun and cassey was so patient with us. we went to the really pretty poppy field in alpine. it was really pretty even though the flowers were almost done blooming. maddie had a lot of fun holding the umbrella and kept putting in front of her face, and she liked to hide behind the letter T. but it was so fun. thnaks cassey i love them.

june 1 2005..... wow time goes by fast!

on monday it was me and rys 4 year anniversary. its weird to think of all that has happened in those years. i love it. monday while ry was at work maddie and i made him some chocolate dipped strawberries. i wish i would have taken a picture of maddie. she was worried about getting the whole strawberry covered.. it was like an inch thick of chocolate. and nothing better than all those little finger prints. when ry got home we made some yummy cheese fondue and relaxed. wednesday is when we were able to go out. we sent maddie over to grandpa and grandpa sorensons house for a sleep over. then ry and i headed up to sundance. it was so nice. the weather was great our room was way nice and i loved hearing the river and being surrounded by trees. we went and had a very yummy dinner and the next morning headed home but stoppded at magelbys fresh for some frenchtoast. it was such a nice night and it was so fun to talk about all the memories and funny stories. ry i love you and i thank you for being such an amazing father and husband. you take care of us so well. i wish i would have taken some pictures but of course forgot the camera.

so excited

well not a lot is going on with us. i am excited that i just booked our airfare for our yearly trip to washington state. yeah now i have something to look forward to. and it will be really nice not to have to drive...double yeah. well my little sister is in europe for what seems like eternity not really just 18 days. but i am used to calling her at least 2 times a day. it seems really weird not to be able to make the call.... i just cant wait for her to come home. 16 more days. we also got to celebrate rys moms big 50 bday last night, we had a yummy dinner at the olive garden and then went to there house for some chocolate cake. the kids loved playing hide and seek. it was a great time. sorry this is a pointless post, but i had to write something.

what we have been up to....

not a whole lot..... Easter was great. my grandparents from washington were here and maddie had so much fun with the easter egg hunts. she had one at each grandparents house. we have just been hanging out and enjoying the weather when its nice. maddies new favorite thing is to take her baby for a walk in the stroller. we dont go very far but it takes forever so thats fun. she is still going to gymnastics with her cousin jace and they have a blast. i'm amazed at how much they have learned and improved over the couple months. ry's new thing is teaching maddie to play baseball. she loves her bat and is working hard at being able to hit the ball. she thinks its so fun. one friday my mother inlaw, sis in law, nephew jace, and maddie and me went up to the discovery gateway. it was a lot of fun for them to play. it was WAY busy and crowded and maddie got attacked by an older girl. she came out of it with a few minor scratches and a bloody lip. way sad. Maddie has also discovered the world of playdough. its been fun and i'm surprised she doesn't eat it.... thankfully. oh and one other thing Maddie is going to be a big sister. SURPRISE. we are so excited. i'm almost 13 wks.... so i still have eternity... hopefully it will go by fast and hopefully the throwing up will end soon. Here are a few well alot of random pics ..
