family pictures

i decided that we needed to get pictures of the three of us. so yesterday we went out in the beautiful but freezing weather. maddie was so cold that she kept shivering and chattering her teeth. she didn't quite know what to think. my friend cassey did such a good job i thought. we went to a eally cool spot and got the pictures i wanted. it was lots of fun and maddie did very well. we did have to bribe with candy towards the end. oh well!

lady bugs say ARGH!

for halloween yesterday maddie was a lady bug. she was quite a cute little bug. i drew black little circles on her face and afterwards i put her in front of the mirror so she could see. as soon as she saw herself she let out this big "ARGH". i had to laugh. then i would ask her what a lady bug says and she would say argh. it was a fun halloween. we went to ryan's family's house for a great chili dinner with festive snacks and then me maddie, my sister inlaw, nephew, and father inlaw went trick or treating. maddie got into it pretty quick she was all for it. then we went back to the house and had some tasty homemade donuts. it was so yummy and fun. after we got home we had to close the night with a scary movie so we watched Disturbia. it was pretty intense. so hope ya all had a good halloween!

lots of change

it has been quite awhile since i last posted anything. where to start. i turned the big 25. ya i kind of had a hard time...not really but it sounds so weird. the sunday before we went to heber and my dad made me spaghetti it was so good. on my birthday i had a good day just hanging out with maddie then that night we went to the olive garden with some friends. then on the weekend we went to park city with ryan's family. we went shopping and swimming and stayed in a really nice place right on main street. so the next change is ry bought a truck which he loves. its a toyota tundra. he just got done doing a lift and the the wheels and tires he wanted. now we just need to sell our honda because we don't need two cars and a truck. the biggest change is we just moved to alipne. we are loving it. i am still trying to get settled and unpacked but its coming along. its so nice to live in a quite area. and i have been really bad and i haven't taken many photos recently but i will get some posted soon.

so my mom and i decided that we should venture on up to the state fair one afternoon. i must say that it isn't as great as i remember as a kid. yes we had fun and maddie loved the animals and me and my dad loved the corndogs but it seems like when i was little it was huge with tons of fun stuff to see and tons of animals. we did see our fair share of wierdos and we bought a few things, like these really nice sheets that i love to sleep in and ryan bought some car stuff....But it was a great day and we had a good time with my parents. thanks mom and dad!

trip to washington

me maddie and my sister brooke went to washington for my grandpa's 75th birthday. my parents came up a few days after us. we had so much fun. we did a lot of shopping, spent some time at the coast, did some more shopping, saw lots of family and friends, and ate good sea food. Saturday was his party and holy cow there were alot of people mostly older people but it was fun to see everyone. we went to Portland to the farmers market. i love going because there are so many really weird people, and lots of cool things to look at and buy, and the street performers. we had a good time people watching. maddie did a pretty good job on the plane. she got a little cranky here and there but we survived. but it was a great end to a great summer!

bear lake fun

we just got back from a fun filled vacation to bear lake. it was filled with tubing, wake boarding for those who are talented enough to do it (i'm not one of them, but i did try.), playing in the sand and water, and hanging out with family. we stayed in a cabin right on the lake even though we didn't use its easy access due to nasty biting flies (we have bites to show it). we had lots of fun and got lots of sun.We had to be careful and watch maddie really close because she had a weird urge to find the little shells in the sand and eat them. yes she ate them and swallowed a couple. it was nasty. one day ryan's grandparents, aunts and uncles and lots of cousins were able to come up and spend the afternoon playing in the water. we had a good time. thanks bob and heidi for the great trip.
