2010

Warning Really long post with way too many pictures!

2010as been such an eventful year. Many changes came our way. In January we blessed our sweet little Hallie. Ryan was able to give her a beautiful blessing. It was a great day spent with family. Hallie was also diaganosed with Tortacollis plagiocephaly.. I know I just spelled that wrong. We started physical therapy and visits to the chiropractor right away. She progressed pretty fast and was pretty much better about 6 months down the road.

Then we had Easter. Maddie loved dying the eggs and was in heaven with her easter basket and having an Easter egg hunt!

Then Auntie Brookie graduated form college. My grandparents were able to come visit and celebrate.

June was a busy month for us. Ryan passed all of his tests for Les schwab and finished all of the classes needed so that meant he started interviewing for positions. We went on a long but quick road trip for interviews. We drove all the way up to northern Washington clear down to Southern Oregon and across Nevada. It was super fun. Thankfully Ryans mom stayed home with the girls. We then went on our usual family vacation to Washington. It was so much fun. We even had a birthday party for Maddie while we were there. Ryan had to leave early for an interview but it was super fun!

Then came July. July was filled with bbq's, swimming, bubbles, side walk chalk, parks, and all the summer festivities!

Also In July Ryan recieved the promotion we had been waiting for! Yay and the best part about it is we got to stay in state! It is in South Ogden. So we decided to buy a house in the area.. so we moved from Alpine to my parents basement where we lived for all of August and part of September. We found the perfect house for us in Hooper. which is like 20 mins. West of South Ogden! RY loves his job and we love where we live.
We had lots of help to make the move which was awesome! Its been fun finding my way around and not knowing anyone.. and trying to meet people. Its been a really good thing for us! Maddie started preschool shortly after moving and tumbling. She is doing great in both and she loves it so much!
October came and went and we had so much fun with fall things. We went to a pumpkin patch in Syracuse, decorated a haunted ginger bread house, carved pumpkins, and had partys galore. Maddie and Hallie were witches.. they were so cute. They both loved trick or treating!

November was filled with birthday fun! First was Hallie's big celebration for her first birthday. It was tons of fun! Then it was Ryan's birthday. My mom kept the kids and we went and stayed in Salt Lake. It was a nice little get away! Then It was mt mom's birthday. We went to Heber and suprised her. It was so fun. Then came Thanksgiving. It was a fun family filled day but I forgot to take pictures! oops!

December is always a fun month! so much fun stuff to do and so much anticipation for the big day! Maddie's preschool class went to Christmas Village in down town Ogden. She got to have a tour by Mrs. Clause. It sure was cold but she loved it! Then we did the normal Christmas things like decorate the house.. put up the tree, decorate a ginger bread house, listen to Christmas music, go to holiday parties, and of course visit with Santa. This year my parents had a Christmas party and Santa himself came knocking at the door. Maddie went and opened the door. She was excited but didn't know what to do. I put Hallie on his lap first which was a big mistake because she freaked out and was crying so hard. Well that freaked Maddie out so she would only talk to him if I was right there. It was pretty funny. THen on Christmas Eve we went and did our Annual Sorenson fondue party. It was delicious and so fun! We sang Christmas carols, reinacted the Christmas story, and opened presents. We were all spoiled and had so much fun! Christmas day we stayed home and did Christmas at our own house. My family came down and we had a yummy breakfast, then did presents where we were spoiled again, and then had a day full of playing with toys and eating yummy food.

It has been a fun exciting year! I can't wait to see what is in store for 2011. Hope its good!

Hallie Turned 1...awhile ago!

My little Hallie turned 1 on November 10th. I am so amazed at how fast the year went. She is such an amazing little girl! We went shopping to pick out a toy she wanted and then went our for Chinese.. which is Maddie and Hallie's favorite food!! On Saturday we had her party. Grandpa and Grandma Hatch couldn't make it to the party but they came down early and spoiled miss Hallie. She opened her presents and then we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch! so fun! Her party was themed around being "1" Sweet Celebration. I thought it turned out pretty good. I spent a couple days before baking and making all sorts of goodies. We had a candy buffet, Carmel apples, sugar cookies, rice krispie treats, and cupcakes. Before that we had chips and dips, fruit kabobs, chicken noodle soup, and rolls. We had lots of family and friends come and celebrate our sweet little girl! It was tons of fun!

2 little witches

sorry this is way late.. but that shouldn't suprise anyone that reads this blog. In october we took the girls to a pumpkin patch in syracuse. it was so much fun. we hadn't planned on there being much besides pumpkins but when we got there.. we were suprised. they had lots of animals and tons of fun things to do.. like bon fires, hot cocco, slides, mazes, and much more. kind of like hee haws in PG. Maddie loved helping pick out which ones we were going to get. It was such a fun night! We also carved the pumkins one night for fhe. maddie wasn't so sure so she painted one and picked out a design for me to do. Maddie and Hallie were little witches for Halloween. They looked adorable! It was so fun. Maddie had practiced for quite a few days in advanced on what to say.On Saturday morning Maddie woke up super early and was so excited becasue it was dark which meant we could go trick or treating.. she didn't realize she had to wait all ay! She was totally into it. She had a fun carnival at her preschool and then on Saturday. Ryan's parents, brother, and his friend Mango came down to celebrate. We had yummy food and lots of treats. Our neighborhood was all decked out with decorations and the streets were packed with all sorts of ghosts, witches and lots of super heros. It was a perfect halloween! osrry the pictures are way out of order..

Family pictures

Last week we drove down to American Fork to have my good friend Cassey take our pictures. We got there a little late but had time to get a few shots. I think they turned out good. It was fun and the weather was just perfect. Maddie also cooperated which was huge because she usually is a stinker and wont look at the camera. Here are a few.

way over due!

Wow I can't believe it is October. Where do I start... In May Ryan recieved good news that he had passed all of his tests and everything was ready for him to move up in the company.. so that meant interviews! We traveled all over Washington and Oregon for interviews.I got to go on one trip with him. We had a super fun time... We left the girls at home with his mom and we drove alot! We were hoping to be able to stay in state but weren't thinking it was going to happen because there were so mnay more available postions else where. With the competion fierce none of those interviews were successful. But Ry kept his game face on and kept at it. In June Maddie turned 3! We were in Washington state at my grandparents house the week before so my grandma had to have a party for her. It was amzing. it was all Pink! she had so much fun! We had such a great family vacation there! Once we got back to Utah Maddie got to have 2 more birthday parties! It was so much fun! Hallie completed her therapy for her neck and head in June. She is as good as new.. you can't even tell she had any problems! July came and with that a job!! A position opened up for an Assistant Manager at the South Ogden store. Ry was nervous for his interview but felt way good about it.. It was a higher position than we were anticpating and in state! Double goodness. And to our delight Ryan recieved the new postion.. We were so excited. Our families were even more thrilled that we were staying in state! So we packed up our place in Alpine and stayed at my parents house for all of Aug. and part of Sept. until we closed on our new home in Hooper. With Ry's job in South Ogden we wanted to be out of the city but close for a commute. We found the perfect house for us and the commute is way awesome for ry! I love it.. it is totally a really small town but close to everything.. We have just been trying to get settled and get the girls back on a schedule. Maddie started preschool and is loving it. I love having that little break to get stuff done with only one child. It is nice! She is also taking tumbling and learning lots of new tricks. It has been a crazy whirlwind of events but life is good and it is amazing how things work out and how blessings come! There wasn't much about Hallie in this huge long boring post.. but she is doing so good. she is so happy and content and so mobile! She turns 1 the first part of Nov. So amazing!

bad poster!!!

so i have decided that i am bad at updating my blog. oh well.... Easter has come and gone and it was a great one filled with a ton of easter egg hunts between school, gym class, friends, and family maddie hit the jack pot. she LOVED to decorate the eggs which was so fun. I had the girls pictures taken and of corse they werent up for cooperating... oh well cassey did a great job and got some really cute pictures. We have been keeping busy with fun stuff... maddie is loving the weather and we are pretty much outside all day. Hallie is getting so big. she is almost 6 months old and such a chunk. i switched her over to formula and she has done so well and it has made life easier for all of us. she is rolling over all the time now and starting to scoot on her back a little. it takes her a while to get not very far but she loves it. She has enjoyed the few veggies i have tried but shes not so fond of cereal... she sleeps great and is such a happy camper. Maddie is so good at entertaining her. i love it. they will both get laughing so hard it totally cracks me up. I have been staying pretty busy with my new hobby of making bows and flowers. I have really enjoyed it. I am doing some farmers markets and craft shows this summer so it should be lots of fun.

for some reason its not allowing me to post the pictures i had taken of the girls. i will work on it!
