christmas joy

Christmas was so much fun this year. Maddie was so excited. we spent Christmas eve with Ryan's family. it consisted of a yummy fondue dinner... a SHORT Christmas program that starred an uncooperative 2 and 4 year old as Mary and Joesph. we then sang Christmas carols with lots of instruments played by the 2 and 4 year old, oh what beautiful and noisy music it was! We then played a little and then opened a present. all the grand kids got matching jammies and a book. it was so great! we then hurried home so Santa wouldn't miss our house!

Christmas morning Ry and i went and woke Maddie up. i think Ryan was the most excited out of every one. it was funny. Maddie came out and saw that Santa had come. he brought her the scooter she wanted. sge ran over to it and looked at it like "holy cow" we asked her if she wanted to ride it and she said no i need to change to my clothes first. we were both like no come ride your scooter and open presents. she didn't like that idea and so we had to get her ready for the day before she would open presents. we both laughed! Hallie was so cute she just layed there and looked around and made her cute little baby noises. After we got done with our presents we went to heber to my parents. Maddie was excited that there were presents waiting for her too. we opened presents and just hung out all day it was so nice. later that night we went back to Ry's parents house where she ahd even more presents. it was so fun. it was a very full day of family and unwrapping presents. it was so fun!

until next year!!!!

December fun!

Well first off.. my little Hallie is 6 weeks old today. she is doing so good. she is getting so chunky. i love it. she has started to smile and its so cute. we took the girls last week to see santa. maddie was so excited. she wouldnt smile for the camera she just sat there and looked at him and kept telling him what she wanted. it was really cute. all week she has been reminding us that santa is coming and she got to see him. Sunday night we went to temple square. ryan's grandpa was in a choir and they had a concert. it was so nice to listen to the christmas music with a bunch of family. we were going to look at lights but it was FREEZING so we headed right back to his grandparents house where there were treats and hot cocco waiting. it was nice to see everyone and visit! today it was snowing and so i bundled maddie up and let her play out side. she is so much more into this year than last year. that makes me excited. we need to go sledding and stuff! thats about it now we are just waiting for the big day on friday! i hope you all have a good christmas!

Hallie is doing great. she is such a mellow baby. i hope it continues. she had her two week check up and her stats were right where they should be.
weight: 7lbs. 13 oz
height: 20 3/4 inches
amazing how fast they grow. maddie is still being a great big sister. she is such a good helper. we had a lot of fun putting up our christmas tree this morning and she loved it.. she keeps informing me she wants to go and see santa and ask for a scooter. so we will have to take a trip to the mall soon. i love that she is getting more and more into the holidays. it gets better every year. i just hope we get some snow so we can go and play.

Hallie is here!

yeah our little baby girl Hallie is here. she was born on nov. 10. we were hoping she would come sooner but she waited until my scheduled c-section. everything went well and she is a healthy baby. she was 7lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches long. she looks a lot like maddie but not as much hair. so far she is really good. we are so excited to have her in our family. maddie has done really well with the change. she loves to "pet" her and kiss her and hold her. she is having a little bit of a hard time sharing the attention but adjusting fast. its so fun to have a baby in the house again.. and its so good to be done being prego! what was really great was my sister that lives back east came for a week to help with maddie. we haven't seen her in a year and a half so it was so nice. maddie loved loved loved her aunt tiff. they had tons of fun playing. my grandparents were also able to come to utah wich was great. it was so fun to have all my family together. we even had thanksgiving dinner on sunday so it was just really good. thanks everyone for all your help and support!

Fall Fun

I love when october rolls around. lots of fun things to do. we didnt get to do all we had planned but we still had so much fun. maddies little school group had a field trip to hee haws one day and she just loved the animals. it was fun. one night we decided to make a haunted gingerbread house... didnt go as well as we planned so ry and maddie just ended up eating all the candy. it was way messy and way fun in the process though. one night we went to ry's sisters house for family night and we carved pumpkins and had doughnuts and hot choc. it was way fun. maddie's school also had a halloween carnival one day. it had lots of fun games to play and blow up slides and bounce houses. and she got cotton candy. she was way excited. then for the big day maddie dressed up as the cutest little kitty cat. she loved it. then we went to ry's parents house and had a yummy dinner and then set out to do some trick or treating. maddie loved it. her and her cousin jace had more fun taking turns ringing the doorbell than getting the candy.. it was funny. then when we got back to the house and they had fun handing out candy to some trick or treaters. i can't believe that october has come and gone... now only a couple more days and we will have a new baby girl... and then... let the holidays begin!
